Adventurous Little Pebbles

My cat gave me a fright today.

So, this morning, it snowed so much that we couldn't go to church. Okay, so I take our dog for a walk after my brother brings him in. The walk was fine, but when I got home and I got ready to do school (because I need to work ahead so that I don't have to do school at the end of this week. I'm awfully busy), my mom tells me that she can't find my cat, Pebbles.

And that was odd. We would usually catch her lounging on her cat tree, playing with our dog, clinging to me, or tearing my room apart some way or another.

But she was no where to be found.

I checked in my closet, because she likes it in there, I checked under my bed, because she likes to shred my leftover Art 10 art supplies which are stored there, I checked every kitchen table chair because she likes to sleep there when no one's sitting there, and I checked her cat tree.

I couldn't find her.

I was beginning to panic as my mother told me that my brother had left the back door open after he brought the dog in. So I stuck my head out the door and looked at the snow that covered the deck, hoping to see if she left any paw prints behind. Then I looked straight at the dog's doghouse.

She was standing there, on its little porch, as still as stone, and looking absolutely terrified. She looked at me and mewled pitifully, telling me fully that she was scared and needed to be rescued. But mom managed to ease her inside, and I picked her up.

Yep, full proof that indoor cats + outside = panic, for both kitty's mommy and the kitty herself.

9/11

So, yeah, I'm here. It seems I haven't been blogging lately, which is bad, but it doesn't matter. I'm blogging today to remind everyone that today, 11 years ago, the World Trade Center fell and thousands of people died. I watched it happen when I was 5. I still remember the footage I saw on the TV to this day.

So remember the innocent office workers that couldn't get out.

Remember the innocent firemen who went up to save people as the towers came down.

Remember the people on the streets that got crushed by debris because they couldn't get out of the way in time.

And remember that this could happen again, but we pray that it doesn't.

The End is Near

It is crazy when you hear that Turkey, Russia, etc have a grudge against Israel. And it's surprising to hear that Israel just found over a BILLION barrels of oil! And with all those earthquakes--first in Haiti, then in Chili, then in Turkey, and all those MUDSLIDES in CHINA...you know the earth is falling apart. I used to be scared about when this would happen, but since I read Randy Alcorn's Heaven, I haven't been scared at all. The book tells of the reward of Christains that accept Christ before the rapture. Life wouldn't be boring. We would be able to explore the Universe, our senses will be strengthened, and we'll be able to explore the whole earth without the danger of getting hurt! There's much more.
I quote what Anthony Hoekema said: "God will make the new earth His dwelling place....Heaven and Earth will then no longer be seperated as they are now, but they will be one. But to leave the new earth out of consideration when we think of the final state of believers is greatly to impoverish biblical teaching about the life to come."
I find it just amazing that life will be burden free once we start our grand adventure on the New Earth. I've always wanted to go on an adventure that would somehow help the destiny of Canada. Well it seems that kind of adventure will never come true to me, so I've given up hope for such a thing to happen to me as I bound to this sinfull world. But when we are remade, we'll be able explore space, see new animals created. John Piper said, "God promises that the glory of his people will demand a glorious creation to live in. So the fallen creation will obtain the very freedom from futility and evil and pain that the church is given. So when God makes all things new, He makes us new spiritually and morally, He makes us new physically, and then He makes the whole creation new so that our evironment fits our perfected spirits and bodies."
To think about being genetically engineered might scare some people, but think about this...God's genetic engineering will not change our appearence--it'll make us better!
So if people who read this post after the rapture, believe every word I've said.
